Margie Clark of Dripping Springs, formerly of O'Donnell, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Aug. 26, 2012, at the age of 88. She was born in Treadway (Borden County), Texas, on May 4, 1924, to Fred Alexander and Maidie Lorene (McKenzie) Buchanan. She graduated from O'Donnell High School. Margie married Lewis Glen Clark on June 27, 1942, in O'Donnell, Texas. Margie was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church of O'Donnell and First Baptist Church in Dripping Springs, Texas. Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Glenda Phillips and husband Terry of Dripping Springs; one sister, Valene Billingsley of San Antonio; four grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. Margie was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Glen; and two brothers, Earl Wayne and Clifton Buchanan. Margie's love and joy in life consisted of her family, her love of the O'Donnell community, watching the Lady Raiders' basketball, and teaching children's Sunday school at the First Baptist Church in O'Donnell, where she taught for 45 years. Services will be at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 1, 2012, at First Baptist Church O'Donnell with interment to follow in O'Donnell Cemetery.
