Margaret Gayle Bussinger, 77, of Disputanta, VA passed away on Wednesday, June 28, 2017. She was the daughter of the late Lex and Addie Cain; and was also preceded in death by her husband, Richard Lewis Bussinger; and a sister, Esther Creasy.
Mrs. Bussinger was a longtime member of City Point Restoration Church of God. She enjoyed going to the beach, cooking, gardening, shopping and spending time with her family and friends.
Mrs. Bussinger is survived by her two sons, Richard L. Bussinger, Jr. and wife, Melanie, and Tom Bussinger and wife, Poppy; three daughters, Debra L. Lane, Gena D. Tench and fiancé, Bob, and Tabatha Marshall and husband, Roy; grandchildren, Rebecca Carmichael and husband, Jason, Naomi Chobanian and husband, Stephen, Jason and Jenny Glazer, Brittany Tench and fiancé, Joey, Kayla Tench, Haven Kinney and Amber Marshall; great-grandchildren, Ariana and Catherine Glazer, Hunter Bookout, Brooklyn Carmichael, and Ashland and Lilly Morris; and a sister, Jean Cain.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 1, 2017 at City Point Restoration Church of God with the Rev. Thurman Collier, officiating. Interment will follow in Appomattox Cemetery, Hopewell, VA. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, June 30, 2017 at the church. The family is being served by the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the VCU Massey Cancer Center, P.O.
