Findagrave volunteer Zoe Tom adds that in October, 1780, the General Assembly voted to "establish Isaac Owen as captain of the 7th company of alarm, 1st Regiment" (Public Records, State of CT, III;194). In September 1781 he was representative for Suffield (ibid, III;517). (Descendants of John Owen 1622-1699, 73)
She also indicates that he married Zerviah GRISWOLD, born 22 DEC 1735 in about 1756 in what is now Suffield, Hartford County, CT, and that the couple had the following children:
