I am still searching the Virginia settlers through the Thrift surname. In Massachusetts there is the oldest wooden frame house in America, known as the Fairbanks House. Jonathan Fairbank's was my 10th ggF. John Robinson, the pastor to the pilgrims, was my 9th ggF. Through my ggM Anna May Brown I am also a descendant to John Brown the abolitionist.
