Elijah was son of Joseph Johns and Susan Goodnight. He married Louisa Yeary 22 Sep 1853 in Greene Co., MO. They moved with the Ince family to Derden, TX and Elijah died there. Louisa returned to MO and left the children for a while with Elijah's sister Susan Johns who had them with her in the 1860 census of Derden, TX. Elijah's tombstone is rather poorly constructed. I think they tried to scratch out Eliga but it looks more like Elica.
