H.A. Atkinson Passes Away
Harry Albert Atkinson. Burlington, former long time resident of Centerville, passed away Saturday morning at a Burlington hospital at 11:30 a.m.
Mr. Atkinson was born March 26, 1888 at Bevier, MO, the son of John and Martha Jane Atkinson. They moved to Appanoose County shortly after that and he lived here most of his life.
He was married to Charlotte Agnessen on Dec. 2, 1907. She is surviving and also five children, Mrs. Charlotte McFarland, of Kennewick, WA; Mrs. Isabelle Hoar, Burlington; Albert of Rock Island, IL; Harold, Savanah, GA; Clara Shortino, Rockford, IL; two brothers, John, Davenport, and Clyde, Springfield, IL, and nine grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at the Miller Wehrle funeral home. Burial will be in Oakland cemetery.
