Annette Mathis Waggoner of Melbourne, Arkansas

Annette Mathis Waggoner, 99, of Melbourne, passed away June 14, 2017 in Batesville. She was born May 20, 1928 in Hattiesburg, Mississippi to B.H. and Dovie Patterson. She was united in marriage to Ralph Mathis May 3, 1937. To this union four children were born. After Ralphs's death she married Homer Waggoner.

She is survived by her children: Sarah Wolfskill (Gary) of Rogersville, Alabama, Martha Robertson (Doyne) of Mebourne, Sue Matson (Thomas) of Stevensville, Maryland and David Mathis (Teresa) of Shelbyville, Tennessee; grandchildren: Rhonda Evans (Jim) of Pelham, Alabama, Sonya Nipp (Alan) of Olive Branch, Mississippi, Lea Friedman (Chris) of Evansville, Indiana, Stephen Robertson (Alicia) of Batesville, Wendy Sutherland (Joe) of Lumberton, New Jersey, Brent Howard of Trenton, Tennessee, Tiffany Romey of Union City, Tennessee, Whitney Molasky (Ben) of Raleigh, North Carolina and Rob Howell of Shelbyville, Tennessee; 15 grandchildren and a host of other relatives and many good friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands and eight siblings.

Visitation and funeral service will be Saturday, June 17 at First Baptist Church in Melbourne. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. Funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m. with Rick Burke, Doyne Robertson officiating. Burial will be at Melbourne Cemetery with Jess Sumrall officiating.

Pallbearers: Stephen Robertson, Brent Howard, Chris Friedman, Alan Nipp, Jim Evans, Joe Sutherland, Thomas Matson and Gary Wolfskill.
