John F. Sniegowski, 82, of 610 McCarthy Street, died on Saturday, January 27, after a lingering illness.
Mr. Sniegowski retired in 1952 as an employee of Corn Products at Argo. He had worked for the firm for 45 years.
He was a member of the Western Catholic Union, Holy Name Society of SS. Cyril's Church, and the White Eagle Social Club.
Mr. Sniegowski was preceded in death by his wife, Anna, and a son, Raymond.
He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Leo (Helen) Wojciechowski of Lemont, and Mrs. Harold (Florence) Smith of Lockport; five sons, Joseph W. of Cabool, Misouri, Leo J. of Summit, Edward L. and Richard R. of Lemont and Chester S. of Lockport; two sisters Mrs. Marion (Anna) Mankowski of Lemont and Mrs. Frank (Frances) Triscilla of Chicago, and one brother, Frank of Lemont.
Funeral services were held Wednesday morning from the Markiewicz Funeral Home, 108 Illinois Street at 9:30 o'clock to SS. Cyril's Church at 10 o'clock. Burial was in the parish cemetery.
