Services for Sophie Fickling Hargrave, 76, formerly of 4014 McGregor Drive will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday in Greenlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today at Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation, Columbia Chapter. Mrs. Hargrave, wife of the late Jesse O. Hargrace, died Tuesday. Born in Blackville, she was a daughter of the late Clarence Julian and Maude Hair Fickling. She retired from the South Carolina Department of Education after 35 years and was a member of the DAR, Forest Lake Club, and a charter member of Eastminster Presbyterian Church. She attended the University of South Carolina.
