Esther H. Henkelman Hill, 91, passed away on Feb. 20, 2007, in Lake Jackson, Texas. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, Feb. 24, at the Clifton Funeral Home Chapel, with her church cell leader and son-in-law, Grady Crossland presiding. Burial will follow at the Clifton Memorial Park Cemetery.

Esther Helen was born near Womack, Texas, to the late Carl Henkelman and Helen Zuehlke Hill. She was confirmed at the St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Clifton, and she married in this same church on Dec. 26, 1936, to George Thomas Hill. Esther was a member of the Methodist Church since 1946 and she attended Christ Community Cell Church in Clute, Texas. She was a member of the Women's Society of Christian Service of Kress United Methodist Church, a member of the Lubbock Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star and a member of the First United Methodist Church of Clifton.

She was preceded in death by her husband; an infant son, Carl; and all of her siblings, Herman Henkelman, Malinda Nieman, Albert Henkelman, and Alfred Henkelman.
