According to a report, Anna Dahle of the Stateline Road, bid her family goodnight and retired after attending the Farm Bureau dinner meeting at the new Moose Home Monday evening.
When she did not appear Tuesday morning to say goodby to the grandchildren as they left for school, as was her custom, the family discovered she had passed away quietly during the night.
Always friendly and helpful, "Ma" Dahle, as she was affectionately known to hundreds of people in the area will best be remembered for her thoughtful hobby of remembering an occasion of someone in the area, by sending out greetings over Radio Station WMCW and by a card.
Every day of the year Mrs. Dahle sent out several cards to people who had birthdays, anniversaries or who were sick.
For eighteen years she was correspondent for The Harvard Herald, Walworth Times and Beloit Daily news.
She was a member of the Harvard Presbyterian Church, a charter member of the Stateline Fellowship, a member of the Chemung Home Bureau, the McHenry County Farm Bureau, and the Harvard Memorial Hospital Auxiliary.
She was born July 28, 1883 in Reading, Penna., and graduated from the Reading high school. Her family moved west in 1904 to Dixon. She married Ferdinand Dahle on June 20, 1906 and they moved to Big Foot. He died in 1948.
She made her home with her son, Clarence and family in Big Foot.
