Funeral services for Mrs. Ruby Williams Albritton, 100, will be held 4:00 PM, Sunday, June 11, 2017, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Monroe, LA with Bro. John Murphy officiating. Interment will follow at Ogden Cemetery, Liddieville, LA, under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe.


Mrs. Ruby was born December 3, 1916, in Winnsboro, LA and passed away in the early morning hours of June 9, 2017, at Ridgecrest Community Care Center in West Monroe, with her daughter and son by her side. She was a longtime member of Boeuf River Baptist Church in Liddieville where she was a choir member, church hostess, training union teacher and nursery worker. She was a farmers' wife and always enjoyed and loved hosting her family down on the farm.


Mrs. Ruby was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, James Milton Albritton, Sr.; her parents, Phillip Newton and Lillie Anders Williams; 4 brothers; 2 sisters; a son, Jimmy Albritton; and her son-in-law, Roy Douglas Comeaux.


Survivors include a daughter, Beverly Comeaux of Monroe, LA; a son, Tommy Albritton of West Monroe; 1 sister, Mayvonne Wilkinson of Sterlington; 11 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; and numerous family and friends.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Casey Albritton, Carey Albritton, Travis Albritton, Christopher Comeaux, Matthew Comeaux, and BJ Frank.


Visitation will be 3:00 PM until service time Sunday, at the funeral home.

The family wishes to extend their thanks to the staff at Ridgecrest Nursing Home.

Memorials may be made to the North Louisiana War Veterans Home.
