Timothy Paul Davenport, 57, of Hoquiam, suffered a heart attack and passed away on Saturday, Feb. 17, 2007, at Grays Harbor Community Hospital. Tim was born on March 2, 1949, in Aberdeen, to Buster and Martha (Tucker) Davenport. He attended grade school in Hoquiam and graduated early from Aberdeen Weatherwax High School. He later attended Lower Columbia Community College in Longview, Wash., for two years studying Oceanography.

Tim always had a deep interest in log trucks. At the age of 10, he began washing log trucks and at the age of 14, drove for a local logging company. Tim enlisted in the United States Navy at age 17, and proudly served as a submariner aboard the U.S.S. Pargo and the U.S.S. Robert E. Lee. Upon his discharge, he returned to the harbor.

On Aug. 13, 1971, he married the love of his life, Linda Lang, in Seattle, where they made their home. Throughout the next five years they lived in Olympia, Ford, Arlington and Cathlamet. The couple settled in the Kelso area for nine years where Tim was worked for the U.S. Department of Game and was proudly elected to the position of District Court Judge for Wakaikum County. They then returned to the Harbor, and lived in Aberdeen, Ocean Shores and Hoquiam where he worked for numerous logging companies, pursuing his passion of the industry.

Tim enjoying hunting, fishing, Nascar, and loved spending time with his grandchildren.

In addition to his beloved wife Linda; he is survived by three sons, Jonathan Davenport and his wife, Kristi of Aberdeen, Jacob Davenport and wife, Karla of Hoquiam, and Andrew Davenport and wife, Michelle of Westport; one daughter, Tory Prant; five grandchildren, Brittney, Kyle, and Paige Davenport, Brittany Ackley, and Nathan Borns; four brothers, Buster Davenport, Jr., of Coppers Cove, Texas, Dan Davenport of Aberdeen, Dave Davenport of Castle Rock and Gary Davenport of Las Vegas, Nev.; and sisters, Diane Dragoo of McCleary and Sue Graham of Aberdeen; he is also survived by his special friend, David Hall; and his faithful cocker spaniel, Meatball. A sister, Jean Brooks and his dear friend/brother-in-law, Lucky S. Graham died previously.

A memorial service with military honors will be held at 1 p.m., on Friday, Feb. 23, 2007, at the Hoquiam V.F.W., 407 - 7th, Hoquiam, WA. A private urn committal service will precede at Hoquiam's Sunset Memorial Park.

The family suggests that memorial donations be made to the American Heart Association or Grays Harbor Community Hospital.
