Eric Dixon, 53, of Guymon passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, June 3, 2017.
The son of Robert Albert and Peggy Ruth (Hofferber) Dixon, Eric Hofferber Dixon was born September 29, 1963 at the Doctor’s Hospital in Seattle, Washington. Eric attended elementary and high school in Redmond, Washington, graduating with the Redmond Class of 1982.
Eric attended Eastern Washington University in Cheney, Washington, before moving to the Oklahoma Panhandle to attended Panhandle State University in Goodwell. He also began working for his grandfather at Hofferber Truck Lines as a cattle hauler. Eric also drove truck for Bill Blackmore and Seaboard.
Eric and Linda Larson were united in marriage on September 15, 2000 in Springfield, Colorado. He was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Hooker, enjoyed target shooting and helping with Linda’s aunts U-Haul business.
He was preceded in death by his father, Bob Dixon in April of 2013; his paternal grandparents, Noah & Eva Dixon; his maternal grandparents, Alex and Viola Hofferber; aunt, Helen Moore and granddaughter, Emily.
Survivors include his loving wife, Linda Dixon and granddaughter they are raising, Ella Ruth Marie of the home; his mother, Peggy Dixon of Tacoma, Washington; brother, Andrew and Stephanie Dixon and their girls, Delaney & Ellery of Tacoma, Washington; Linda’s four children: Jason (Peggy) of Guymon, Fabian (Stevi) of Amarillo, Texas, Gilbert of Cache, Oklahoma and Crystal of Amarillo, Texas; ten grandchildren: Jayden, Kyle, Ryann, Bryce, Taylor, Braxton, Megan, Madison, KJ & Eli; an honorary grandson, Braylon; two aunts: Donna Holzrichter of Hooker, Oklahoma and Sandra Hofferber of LaJunta, Colorado; along with numerous loving cousins and other family.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday morning, June 9th at 10:30 a.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Hooker with Pastor Conrad Oehlert officiating. Interment will follow at the Elmhurst Cemetery in Guymon. Services are under the care of the Bunch – Roberts Funeral Home of Guymon.
