Doyle Welch, 71, of Amarillo died Thursday, June 1, 2017.

Services were at 2 p.m., Saturday, June 3, 2017, in Chaparral Hills Baptist Church, 4000 Cherry Ave, with Chuck Neal officiating. Burial was in Llano Cemetery. Cox Funeral Home, 4180 Canyon Drive.

Doyle was born Aug. 5, 1945, in Amarillo to Sue and George Welch. He served his country in the army reserves. He was a transportation superintendent with various trucking companies, as well as, Ryder Transportation Services. Doyle was a great husband and father. He loved hanging out with his family and friends. He enjoyed helping his son raised and show livestock and coaching his soccer teams. He also enjoyed camping, fishing, and playing with old cars.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Sue; his wife, Sharon; and three brothers, Raymond, Kenneth and Wayne.

Survivor include his son, Cody Welch and wife Erika; a granddaughter, Annabelle; his siblings, Sybol Ogle, Juanita Beagle and husband Arnold and Norma Caster; special nephews, Bobby and Ricky Hyatt; and numerous nephews, nieces, other relatives and many friends.
