Norma Jean Caster, 75, of Amarillo passed away Wednesday, November 22, 2017. Services will be at 10:00 a .m. Monday, November 27, 2017 at Cox Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Llano Cemetery.

Norma was born on October 10, 1942 in Hereford. She moved to the Amarillo area as a child, where she was raised at the Nance Ranch. She married Richard Wayne Caster on November 27, 1958. He preceded her in death in 1990. Norma worked as a housekeeper in the luxury and higher-end hotel industry for most of her life. She enjoyed bowling in her free time. Most of all, Norma loved her family and especially cherished being "Grandma" to her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is survived by her daughter, Nicky Melear of Amarillo; son, Ricky Caster and wife Kimberly of Amarillo; sisters, Sybil Ogle of Borger and Juanita Beagle and husband Arnold of Borger; grandchildren, Tiffanny Caster, Richard Caster and Shawna Rae Pacheco as well as, 6 great-grandchildren, all of Amarillo.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Clydia Sauter Welch; husband, Richard Wayne Caster; 4 brothers, Raymond, Kenneth, Wayne and Doyle Welch; son, Jerry Wayne Caster and daughter, Deborah Jean Wheeler.
