Mr. Talmadge Aldrich, age 77, passed away at his home after a lengthy illness. The Bulloch County native was a 1959 graduate of Statesboro High School and attended Abraham Baldwin Agriculture College. Mr. Aldrich proudly served his country as a member of the U.S. Air Force. Much of his time in the military service was spent in Minot, North Dakota. He worked for a number of years in the shipping department at Brooks Instruments. He later retired from Chandler Sales, a Tom's Snacks Co. distributor. He enjoyed golfing, bird and deer hunting and salt water fishing in his earlier years. Later in life, he enjoyed watching the Atlanta Falcons football team games and golf tournaments on television.

Survivors include his wife of 18 years, Betty Jean Bell Aldrich of Statesboro; sons, Todd Aldrich, Statesboro and Brian Aldrich, Long Beach, California; siblings, Sylvia Hill, Aubrey Aldrich (Joyce), Joyce Saxon (Ray), Harold Aldrich and Deborah Harville (Herman); many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Ralph Aldrich, Clemmie Aldrich, Jerry Aldrich, Gloria Crosby and Margaret Quarles.

A gathering of friends and family will take place on Saturday, June 3 from 9:30 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. at Hodges-Moore Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 3 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Hodges-Moore Funeral Home with the Elder Mike Newman officiating.

Burial will be at the Middleground Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers will be Jason Harville, Allen Aldrich, Chris Robinson, Ron Nelson, Dell Saxon and Norman Brannen.
