SOUTH GATE, California-
Christina Bachman Koehler, 95, devoted mother, survived by one daughter, Theresa Rodenbucher of California; three grandsons; 12 great-grandchildren,- and seven great-great-grandchildren.
She was born in Hungary in 1886.
She came to the United States in 1905, married, raised her children, and resided in Akron, Ohio for 67 years. Upon the death of her second husband. Matt Koehler, who died in 1972, she went to California to live with her son and daughter.
She will be remembered most by her strong faith in Our Lord Jesus Christ.
She was a long time active member of the Zion Lutheran Church, on S. High St.
She died peacefully in her sleep the day after Christmas. Calling hours will be Thursday, Jan. 7 from 6 until 9 p.m. at the Schermesser Funeral Home, 1446 S. Main St., where services will be Friday at 1 p.m. with Rev. T.H. Voss officiating.
