Obituary
Beverly J. Brink, 79, of Warsaw, passed away in the early morning hours May 29, 2017, at Fort Madison Hospital.
She was born May 18, 1938, a daughter of Laun and Helen (Hartsock) Brownlee in Meyer. On Feb. 24, 1954, she was united in marriage to Marvin Jr. Schafer at the Methodist Church in Warsaw. He preceded her in death. On March 6, 1976, she was united in marriage with Roger A. Brink of Ursa, at the Methodist church in Hamilton.
She attended Warsaw schools.
She is survived by her husband of 41 years and four children and granddaughter she raised.
Survivors include her children, Sharon (Steve) Koehler of Basco, Vickie Schafer of Warsaw, Marvin Bryant Schafer of Keokuk, Iowa, and Susan (Rex) Doyle of Basco; grandchildren, Shelly Trone of Basco, Edward Trone of Warsaw, Toni (Jesse) Hill of Hazelwood, Mo., Rebecca Schafer of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Eric Stephenson of Elvaston, Nicole Gray of Basco, Chad (Morgan) Schafer of Port Orange, Fla., Sidney Schafer of Keokuk, and Bryant Michael (Lindsey) Doyle of Basco; eight great-grandchildren; brother, Dick (Barb) Brownlee of Joplin, Mo.; brother-in-laws, John Brink of Ursa and Robert (Sharon) Schafer of Warsaw; sister-in-law, Charlotte Symmonds of Basco; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by parents; five sisters, Sarah Kimbrough, Dorthy Conover, Jean Gorden, Ida Brownlee and Joyce Mitchell; and four brothers, Kenny Gardner, Jerome Brownlee, Gordy Brownlee and Rhiney Brownlee.
SERVICES: 1:30 p.m. Friday, June 2, at First Christian Church of Keokuk, with the Rev. David P. Turner. Burial will follow in Keokuk National Cemetery.
VISITATION: Noon to 1:30 p.m. Friday at the church.
MEMORIALS: Memorials in memory of Beverly J. Brink have been established for the donor's choice.
ARRANGEMENTS: Lamporte-St. Clair Funeral Home, Warsaw.
