Laun B. Brownlee, 87, of Hamilton, died 9:55 a.m. Monday (July 16, 1984) in Fort Madison Community Hospital. He was a retired farmer.
Mr. Brownlee was born April 21, 1897, in Loraine, the son of John J. and Sarah Hudson Brownlee. He married Helen Hartsock, who preceded him in death in 1952.
Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Leon (Sarah) Kimbrough of Hamilton, Mrs. Roger (Beverly) Brink of Basco, and Mrs. Bill (Jean) Gordy of Wyaconda, Mo.; three sons, Kenneth Gardner of Kirksville, Mo., Jerome Brownlee of Warsaw, and Richard Brownlee of Joplin, Mo.; 25 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. He was also preceded by three daughters, two sons, six sisters, five brothers, and two grandchildren.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in Lamporte Funeral Home in Warsaw, conducted by the Rev. Gene Baker. Burial will be in Fletcher Cemetery, west of Tioga. A memorial has been established.
