Ellis Lyman Rishton, 81, died on June 27, 1998, in Salt Lake City, Utah.
He was born on August 30, 1916, in Woodland, Idaho, to David Slater and Maida Bennion Rishton. He married Afton Dot Robertson on December 19, 1934, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.
He was an active member of the LDS Church, and he loved to attend the temple. He had a passion for automobiles, from the Model T's to today's modern cars.
He is survived by his wife, Afton Dot Rishton; children, Ellis David Rishton, Los Angeles, CA; Chari Engle (Denny), Sandy, UT; and Barry Lynn Rishton (Darlene K.). He is also survived by his grandchildren, Scott Kay Engle, and Daniel Ryan Engle. He was preceded in death by three sisters and three brothers.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July, 1, 1998, at 11 a.m. at the Richards Ward, 855 East Garfield Avenue (approx. 1900 South). Interment will be in the Salt Lake City Cemetery. Funeral directors, Deseret Memorial Mortuary.
