On Saturday night at 11 o'clock at his home in Coatsburg, occurred the long looked for death of Perry Barlow. Perry Barlow was one of the old settlers of this part of the county, having lived here a full half century. He was born in Kentucky and came, to Illinois while yet a youth with his parents. In 1852 he was married to Jane De Moss, and they were the parents of eleven children, seven of whom are dead. The wife, three daughters and one son survive him to mourn his loss, and to whom the sympathies and condolence of the entire community are extended. The cause of his death, as revealed by the autopsy, was medulary cancer of the bowels. His remains were interred beside those of his children in the Coatsburg cemetery on Tuesday morning.
