MANLEY HAYES
Manley Hayes, 70, of Lodi, formerly of Hornby died Tuesday afternoon in the Taylor Brown Hospital in Waterloo following a short illness.
Mr. Hayes was born at Hornby on Oct. 4, 1896 to John and Hattie Baker Hayes. In 1916 he moved to Seneca County where he had since resided. He was a veteran of World War II having served inthe U.S. Air Force.
Surviving are: a brother, Henry of Lodi; two sisters, Mrs. Fern Updyke of Burdett and Mrs. Fren (Emma) Rogers of Hornby; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
The funeral will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at the John Covert Funeral Home at Ovid. Burial will be in Goodsell Cemetery, Hornby.
