John F. Hayes
HORNBY — John F. Hayes, who had lived near Lodi, Seneca County for the past 12 years, died Easter Sunday as the result of a stroke suffered March 17. He was 83 years old.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 1:30 from the Jones Funeral Home in Lodi. Burial will be in Goodsell Cemetery, Hornby.
The son of Luman and Karen Bixby Hayes, the deceased was born in Hornby April 10, 1865. He is survived by five sons, William E. of Dundee, Manley J. and Eugene R. of Lodi, Floridan J. of Gaywood, Henry J. of Interlaken, two daughters, Mrs. Fred L. Rogers of Hornby and Mrs. Walter Updike of Meads Creek, a brother, Fred Hayes of Catherine, 33 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and many nephews and nieces.
