Marian was born on March 22, 1921 in Stratford to Joseph and Gertrude (Nabbefeld) Newmier. She married Alvin Marcotte and they later divorced. She was employed as a nursing assistant in the Pediatrics Unit at St. Joseph's Hospital from 1956 until 1986 when she retired. She was a member of St. John's Parish Council of Catholic Women.
Marian died at the age of 92 on Friday, December 13, 2013 at Golden Living Center, Three Oaks, Marshfield Wis.
She is survived by a brother, Ray (Maggie) Newmier of Marshfield and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents, a brother, Norbert "Buddy" Newmier, a sister-in-law, Odele Newmier and 3 nephews, Jim, Steve and John Newmier.
