Earnest Clyde Maples, age 85, resident of 1334 Phifer Rd., died January 7, 2010 at Kings Mountain Hospital.

He was born in Sevier County, Tennessee to Thomas Lawson and Nancy Jane Headrick Maples.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a son, Ronald Dewitt Maples, 3 sisters and 1 brother.

He was a retired Forman from Lithium FMC Corporation in Bessemer City, owner of Maples Fishing Lake and retired Maintenance manager from Foote Mineral Corp. in Kings Mountain.

He was a long standing member of Bethlehem Baptist Church in Kings Mountain where he was a former Deacon.

He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.
