Nannie Ruth Burgess Haynie, 88, wife of Melvin Haynie of Anderson died Monday, May 22, 2017 at Rainey Hospice House. Born in Cheddar, she was the daughter of the late Horace and Edith Kelly Burgess. She was a member of Union Grove Methodist Church and an Avon Lady for 30 years. Surviving in addition to her husband of the home are: son, Jerry (Kymberly) Mullinax of Charleston; daughter, Shirley (Stu) Shirley of Belton; grandchildren, Dallas, Michael, BJ, Justin, Clay, Dustin, Sarah, Amber, Billy Joe, DaKota, Tiffany, Summer, Randi Lyn, Courtney, Abbi, Ella, Maddelyn, and Lucy. She was preceded in death by her sons, Gilbert Frank Mullinax and Charles Mullinax, Jr., Brothers, Jack, JN, Bill, Ithama, Joe, and Frank. Service will be held 3pm Thursday at Cox Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Amy Bratton officiating. Burial will follow at Belton Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service Thursday from 1pm until 2:45pm at Cox Funeral Home. In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Union Grove Methodist Church.
