Sioux Falls ~ Marinelle "Mari" Isaacson Bryson, 61, passed away Saturday, June 11, 2005 at her home after a long and very courageous battle with cancer.
Funeral service will be 10:30 AM Tuesday, June 14 at First Reformed Church with burial at Woodlawn Cemetery.
Visitation begins at 2:00 PM Monday, June 13 at George Boom Funeral Home, where the family will greet friends from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
Mari was born October 31, 1943 to M.H. (Luke) and Ruth (Van Oort) Luymes in Sioux Falls, SD. Mari attended school in Sioux Falls and graduated from Washington High in 1961, and then attended Sioux Falls College.
Mari was united in marriage to Maynard Isaacson on October 13, 1961. From this union were born two sons.. Mari began her insurance career with Howalt-McDowell Insurance in the mid 1970's and was employed by them until moving to Dallas, TX in 1985. Mari returned to Sioux Falls in 1993 following the passing of her father and rejoined Howalt-McDowell for her remaining employment.
Mari married John Bryson on February 14, 2001 and the two of them were enjoying their life in Sioux Falls. Mari was a member of First Reformed Church and active in many civic and social organizations including the Insurance Women, Jaycees and Ducks Unlimited and enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren.
Mari was preceeded in death by her father Luke and grandson Andrew and her grandparents.
The family would like to offer special a special thank you to Mari's extended family of co-workers and friends at Howalt McDowell for all of their wonderful support, and a very special thank you to Lois Hoffman her very best friend and "sister".
