Terry Don Mayes entered this life on July 30, 1949 in Duncan, OK, born to Leon and Bertia (Kiker) Mayes. Terry went home to be with his Lord and Savior on May 13, 2017 in Durant, OK at the age of 67 years.
Terry attended Elementary and Middle School in Healdon, OK, and graduated from Ashland High School class of 1968 in Kansas . He married Donna Armstrong on August 31, 2012. Terry worked for Sprint in the mail center as a mail coordinator for many years. He enjoyed fishing, golf, and collecting barbed wire, but most of all he loved spending time with his family. Terry will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Proceeding him in death are his parents, Leon and Bertia Mayes, sister, Marcella Ellis, brother, David Mayes.
Terry is survived by his loving wife, Donna Joyce Mayes of the home; daughters, Teri Luna and husband Tony of Des Moines, IA, Talia Mayes of Overland Park, KS, and Erica Powers; sister, Barb Hicks and husband Ron of North Platte, NE; 7 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild, along with numerous other family, friends and loved ones.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, May 17, 2017 at Dixie Cemetery in Stephens County, OK with Pastor Kerry Groce officiating. Pallbearers will be Kevin Patton, Devon Patton, Ron Hicks, Dalton Hicks, Paul Hicks, Allen Hicks, Tony Luna, Don Ellis and Jack Armstrong.
