Funeral services for Debbie Ruth Abens, 60, of Huntington will be held May 19, 2017 at Shawnee Church of Jesus Christ. Interment will follow in the Manning Cemetery.
Mrs. Abens was born November 8, 1956 in Woodville, Texas to the late Ozella F. (Woodard) and William F. Fry, and died Tuesday, May 16, 2017 in a local hospital.
Mrs. Abens resided in Huntington most of her life. Her life centered around her family and her church family. She was a member of Shawnee Church of Jesus Christ and was the custodian there for more than 40 years. Mrs. Abens loved to cook for the church.
Survivors include her husband, Harlan E. Abens; son and daughter-in-law, Uriah and Taffi Abens; 4 grandchildren; brother, Eugene Ryals; sisters and brothers-in-law, Linda and Bill Handy, Francis and Jessie Freeman, Barbara Hart, Betty Jean Fry; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Maurice and Judy Abens, Iowa and Keith and Jo Abens; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her parents and nieces, Gina Renee Rawls and Melissa Freeman.
