Betty Holley Cauthen, age 81, passed away on Wednesday, March 1, 2017. A visitation will be held on Thursday, March 2, 2017 from 6-8 pm. Graveside services will be held on Friday, March 3, 2017 at 11:00 am at the Whitehouse Cemetery.

Mrs. Cauthen was born on January 10, 1936 to Lacy S. Holley and Lora Mae Warren in Tyler. She graduated from Whitehouse High School and attended Glenwood Church of Christ. Betty also enjoyed working in her yard and tending her flowers.

Mrs. Cauthen is preceded in death by her parents, her husband James Thomas Cauthen, her son Mark Alan Tomlin, three brothers and three sisters.

She is survived by her daughter, Kim Umphress of Tyler, her two grandchildren, Andrea Umphress, Hayden Umphress and two great-granddaughters. Betty is also survived by her sister Brenda Johnson and her husband Mike of Wichita Falls, along with numerous nieces and nephews.

A special thank you to Barbara Honeycutt and Gwendolyn Johnson for being her guardian angels while she was in the nursing home.
