Robert graduated from Southwestern Oklahoma State University in 1966 with his Teaching Degree, after which they moved to Las Vegas where he taught math, receiving many accolades and awards. After retiring in 1997 Robert and Donna soon moved back to Sentinel in 1998. He was also an officer in the 45th Division of the National Guard where he held the rank of 2nd LT.
Robert had many interests and passions. He was a certified scuba diver, skilled in wood working, motorcycle enthusiast and fan of Tom Clancy novels and the movies of Steve McQueen, Charles Bronson and Clint Eastwood. He was avid aeronautical balsa modeler, animal lover and to those who knew him best, a wonderful story teller.
Robert loved his family dearly, he will be missed by all who knew him.
Survivors include: wife Donna Gibbins, daughter Andrea Hartline and husband Steven of Waco, TX.
Preceded in death by: his parents, sister Maurine Harry and nephew Steven Yarbrough
