IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Edna Call Johnson, 96, of Idaho Falls, died March 27, 2006, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.
She was born December 5, 1909, at Rigby, to Alonzo Call and Lucy Elvira Lessey Call. She grew up and attended schools in the area, graduating from Rigby High School.
On March 3, 1930, she married Raymon Scofield Johnson in Idaho Falls. Their marriage was solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple on the first day it opened, December 6, 1945. She worked at Chesbro Music Company for 50 years. She was a member of the Bel Canton Chansonettes and the Idaho Falls Choralaires.
She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and had served in the Primary, Mutual, and Relief Society organizations, as a temple worker, and family history missionary. She also enjoyed her involvement directing youth choruses and the Relief Society Singing Mothers.
Survivors are:
Daughter: Susan (Des) Yarrington, Idaho Falls
14 Grandchildren and 19 Great Grandchildren
She was preceded in death by her husband; a son, Raymon Kim Johnson; 1 grandchild and 1 great grandchild.
Funeral Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 31, 2006, at the Idaho Falls LDS Woodruff First Ward (1660 - 12th Street) with Michael David Morrissey, First Counselor in the Bishopric, officiating.
The family will visit with friends on Thursday from 7-9 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home (273 N. Ridge) and for one hour prior to the services at the church.
Burial will be in Fielding Memorial Park.
