Robert W. "Jim" Barr

Robert W. "Jim" Barr, 85, of the Strasburg Pike, Lancaster, went home to be with Jesus on Friday, September 24, 2010. He was the husband of Betty (Lutz) Barr of Lancaster.

Jim was a self-employed farmer and painter. He raised produce and sold it at his stand along the Strasburg Pike. He was a member of Mill Creek Bible Church.

Born in Strasburg Township, Jim was the son of the late Ellis W. and Sarah (Myers) Barr. He is survived by a daughter, Linda married to Paul Rogers of Cuba, Missouri; a son, Robert E. married to Linda (Sweigart) Barr of Lancaster; four grandchildren, Jack Rogers, Heather Rogers, Lee Rogers and Cole Barr; and two great-grand-children, Regan and Grace.

A Celebration of Jim's Life will take place at 2:30 PM on Saturday, October 16, 2010 at Mill Creek Bible Church, 270 Strasburg Pike, Lancaster, PA. In lieu of flowers, kindly consider sending a contribution in Jim's memory to Hospice of Lancaster County, P.O. Box 4125, Lancaster, PA 17604-4125. Bachman Funeral Home, Strasburg, PA.
