Holly Hill - Services for Mary Julia Arant Moorer, 96, will be held at 11 a.m. today at Holly Hill United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Jerry Phillips officiating. The casket will be placed in the church at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Holly Hill Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Holly Hill Cemetery, P.O. Box 20, Holly Hill, SC 29059 or to Holly Hill UMC, P.O. Box 398, Holly Hill, SC 29059. Avinger Funeral Home is in charge. Pallbearers will be Jacob K. Rush, Samuel T. Kirby III, John Cuttino, Robert Hicklin Jr., Richard Edwards, and Allen Arant. Mrs. Moorer, widow of J Gelzer Moorer, died Wednesday in an Orangeburg nursing home. Born in Fort Motte, she was a daughter of the late Adam Gramling and Sallie Crook Arant. She was a retired librarian, having worked at the Holly Hill Public Library for a number of years. She was a member of the Holly Book Club and Holly Hill United Methodist Church. Surviving are her sister, Mrs. D. A.
