Lyda was my mother's step mom. She married my Grandpa Higgins 3 years before I was born, so she was as much my grandmother as my 2 biological grandmother's were. She was a precious human being. She collected salt and pepper shakers. She painted ceramics as a hobby for many years. I still have several pieces that she painted either for me personally or that were handed down to me. She had a great sense of humor. She was a very sweet grandmother and I miss her dearly.
