Milton Mammen, 81, died at 10:49 A.M., Saturday, October 26, 2002 at Marion Memorial Hospital.

Mr. Mammen was born November 7, 1920 in Emden, Illinois to John C. & Tena (Groenhagen) Mammen. He married Harriett (Bailey) Mammen on October 15, 1938 in Union, Missouri. She preceded him in death on October 10, 1997.

Milton was a founding member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Marion. He served on the building committee. He was retired from Caterpillar Tractor Company where he was employed as an inspector. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army; serving his country during WWII.
He was a member of United Auto Workers. He was a member of the VFW in Goreville and the American Legion in Morton, Illinois.

Survivors Include:
Daughter & Son In Law: Adele & Kenneth McCoy of Brownsville, TX.
Daughter: Linda Haberle of Heber Springs, Arkansas
Daughter & Son In Law: Margaret & Dennis Frisby of Marion

Seven Grandchildren
Eight Great Grandchildren
One Brother: Delmar Mammen of Hutchison, KS.
Also several nieces & nephews survive
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, four sisters and eight brothers.
In accordance to Mr. Mammen's wishes, his body was cremated. Memorial service will be held 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, October 29 at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Marion with Pastor William Schmidt officiating.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
