After attending St. Casimir's school, the former Antoinette Bogdanowicz entered the religious life at Immaculata Academy, Hamburg, NY as a Franciscan Sister of St. Joseph. After novitiate, she began teaching at Corpus Christi school, Buffalo, NY. She later taught at schools in Detroit, North Tonawanda, NY, Lynn, Mass. and Holyoke, Mass. She received a bachelor's in education from Marywood College, Scranton, PA and a master's from Niagara University. She also studied at Medaillo College in Buffalo, and at the University of Buffalo
