Ann Obenshain, 86, of Troutville, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, April 18, 2017. She was preceded in death by her parents, Kyle and Lillian Abshire Obenshain.; brothers, David (Mae) Obenshain and Jonathan Obenshain; and sisters, Marie (Zeke) Scaggs and Jane O. Morris

Ann was a life long and faithful member of Mill Creek Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday School a number of years until unable to do so. She retired from Halmode Apparel. Ann loved her family, cooking and baking for all.

Survivors include her brother-in-law, Johnny Morris and fiancee, Pam Newman; sister-in-law, Bunny Obenshain; nephews, Denny Obenshain (Rita) and Stephan Scaggs (Wendy); niece, Brenda Bobbitt (Gary); and a number of great nieces and nephews and their families.

The family wishes to thank the staffs of Springtree Center and Good Samaritan Hospice. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mill Creek Baptist Church, 11475 Lee Highway, Fincastle, VA 24090.

Ann’s family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM on Friday, April 21, 2017, at Oakey’s North Chapel. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 PM on Saturday, April 22, 2017, at Oakey’s North Chapel. Her pastor, the Rev. J. R. Graybill will officiate. Interment will be in Mill Creek Baptist Church Cemetery, Botetourt County.
