Marjorie Burbank

DEWEYVILLE - Marjorie Cleo Ahlmer Burbank has completed her mission on earth and has gone on to her eternal estate. On April 14, 2017, at the age of 90, she quietly left the family's loving arms and was received into the waiting embrace of her husband, parents, and those who had gone before.
Marjorie was born at home in Ogden, Utah, on January 4, 1927, to Gustaf Rudolph Ahlmer and Theresa Margaret Hunsaker.
Her mother passed away when Marjorie was 3 years old. She was raised by her mother's parents in Honeyville while her father worked in Ogden. Marjorie went to school in Honeyville and graduated from Box Elder High. After high school, she worked at the county courthouse and later at the IRS in Ogden.
She met Douglas R. Burbank at a dance. They were sealed in the Logan LDS Temple on Aug. 12, 1948, making their home in Deweyville, working hand in hand on their 149-acre dairy farm. They were blessed with four sons and raised them with integrity.
Marjorie was an active member of the LDS Church and loved serving in her many callings. She supported Doug in both church and community service. In 1993, Doug passed away in a farming accident, which she faced with bravery and grace.
In 1999 she was called to serve a mission in the Santiago Chile LDS Temple. Upon her return, she used her Spanish to work in the Logan LDS Temple.
Family was very important to Marjorie, and she made an effort to keep them close to each other. Her labors forged a bond with the family that will never be forgotten.
Marjorie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her two brothers Spencer and Dean Ahlmer, and a granddaughter.
She is survived by her sons, Brian (Eileen) of Wellsville, Randy (Marcia) of Hyrum, Jeff (Kimi) of Logan, Craig (Marge) of Deweyville, 23 grandchildren, 69 great- and six great-great-grandchildren.
The viewing will be held at Rogers & Taylor Funeral Home (111 North 100 East, Tremonton) Friday, April 21 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. and at the Deweyville chapel (10750 North Hwy 38, Deweyville) on Saturday, April 22, 2017, from 10 to 11:30 a.m., followed by the funeral services at noon.
Interment in the Deweyville Cemetery.
