Flicker, Agatha Margaret "Aggie" Agatha "Aggie" Flicker died peacefully on August 17, 2014, in Lake Forest, Illinois. She was born on August 10, 1925, in Nekoosa, Wisconsin, where she would later meet her husband, Richard "Dick" Flicker while working at Nekoosa-Edwards Paper Company. They were married on January 27, 1950. Aggie was a talented seamstress, often making her own garments as a teenager. She was an excellent cook and baker (banana bread, pumpkin pie, chocolate chip cookies, and pot roast were among her grandchildren's favorites) and an impressive bowler, participating in two leagues and often bowling a 200-point game. She also enjoyed piecing together puzzles, playing bridge, antiquing, gardening, and ballroom dancing. Aggie was a member of the Newcomers Club, the Lake Forest Garden Club, and Town Club in Kenilworth. Aggie was the beloved wife of Richard for 64 years; and loving mother of Debbie Learch, Judy (Don) Olson, and Jackie (David) Frye. She was grandmother to Stephanie (Corbin) Cornelison, Jason Olson, Amy, Will, and Charlie Frye; and Samantha and Kevin Learch; and great-grandmother to Jax and Charlotte Cornelison. She was lovingly cared for by Amanda Williams. Aggie was preceded in death by her parents, Petronella and George Arendt Sr.; her stepmother, Mary Catherine Arendt; her brother, George Arendt Jr.; and her son-in-law, John Learch. Services have been held. Donations may be made to the First Presbyterian Church of Lake Forest (www.firstchurchlf.org), 700 N. Sheridan Rd., Lake Forest.
