Janie Marie Fitchett, 68, wife of Robert Davis Fitchett and a resident of Parksley, VA, passed away at Riverside Shore Memorial Hospital in Nassawadox, VA, on Wednesday, May 4, 2011.
Born on June 6, 1942 in Southside Chesconnessex, VA, she was a daughter of the late Warner Ames Johnson and Beatrice Thomas Johnson. She was a homemaker.
Other than her husband, survivors include three children, Tammy Marie Gladding of Florida, Lisa Anne Perry and husband Melvin of Bloxom, VA, and Robert Fitchett, Jr. of Parksley; three sisters, Peggy Wessells and Linda Jackson, both of Parksley, and Anita Smith of Onley, VA; two grandchildren, Kaitlyn and Daniel; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted from the chapel of the Williams-Parksley Funeral Home on Saturday, May 7, 2011 at 2:00 PM. with the Rev. G. Wayne Parsley officiating. Interment will follow at the Liberty Cemetery.
There will be a visitation at the funeral home on Friday, May 6, 2011, from 7:00 until 9:00 PM.
