Mary Gobea, 76, Chanute, KS, died Friday, Feb. 2, 2007 at St. Francis Hospital, Wichita, KS.
She was born July 4, 1930 in Chanute, KS, the daughter of Nicholas and Leonor (Villasenor) Alonzo.
She was raised in Chanute and graduated from Chanute High School.
On Dec. 30, 1950 she married Joe Gobea in Chanute, KS. He survives.
Other survivors include two daughters, Catherine Ramirez, Shawnee, KS, and Marcella Gobea, Humboldt, KS; a son, Paul Gobea, Shawnee, KS; two sisters, Victoria Quintana, Wichita, KS, and Margaret DeLaTorre, Chanute, KS; and three grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Thomas Gregory Gobea; a grandson, Nicholas Gobea Ramirez; and four brothers and five sisters.
Burial will be Feb. 8, 2007 in St. Patrick¹s Catholic Cemetery, Chanute, Kansas.
