COURIER JOURNAL OBITUARY – 04/13/2017
MEENA - Dolores Haddad, 85, of Louisville, passed away Tuesday, April 11, 2017. Dolores and her husband of almost 50 years were co-owners of Richard Meena's Douglass Pharmacy in the Highlands. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Dolores was an active member of St. Andrew's Episcopal Church, and known most for her kindness and generosity. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Meena, Sr., parents Frank E. Haddad Sr. and Clara Gallo Haddad; and a brother, Frank E. Haddad Jr. Dolores is survived by her son, Richard Meena Jr. (Caroline); and daughter, Claire E. Meena-Leist (Stephen Nettleton); three grandchildren, Anthony, Lydia and Sam; brother, Robert Haddad; three sisters-in-law, JoAnn, Carol and Mary; many loving nieces and nephews; and dear family friend, Lyn Fansler. The family is grateful for the care givers who have assisted Dolores over the years, especially Lyn and Junelynne Fultz, Elder Care 4 Families and the compassionate caring staff of Nazareth Home. Visitation will be from noon until 5 p.m. Saturday, April 15th at Ratterman & Sons, 3800 Bardstown Road. There will be no visitation Easter Sunday. The funeral service for Dolores will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday, April 17th at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church, 2233 Woodbourne Avenue, followed by burial at Cave Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Kosair Charities, St. Andrew's Episcopal Church or to Nazareth Home.
