Leatha Juanita Grimes, age 85 of Titus, AL, passed away on Monday, April 10, 2017. Mrs. Grimes was a lovable person who maintained a wholesome church life. She was an active woman who played softball with the church and in the Senior Olympics. She enjoyed flowers, fishing, going to the lake, and all things outdoors. Mrs. Grimes was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Edward S. Grimes; her parents; and six siblings. Survivors include her sons, Mack A. (Saundra) Grimes, Edward R. (JoAnn) Grimes; grandchildren, Linsey (Ryan) Cook, Ramsey Grimes; two great grandchildren; siblings, Peggy (Frank) Harris, Viola (Joe) Moreau, Donald (Nancy) Smith, Ruth (Keith) Hill, Frieda (Tom) Hunt; and numerous nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, April 13, 2017 at Leak Memory Chapel with Pastor Danny Robbins and Pastor Roger Singleton officiating, followed by the burial at Greenwood Serenity Cemetery. The family will begin to accept friends at 12:30 PM, prior to the service. Pallbearers will be Danny Harris, Dane Harris, Richie Harris, Dale Harris, Glenn Smith, and Terry Smith. Honorary pallbearers will be Clint Smith, Jerimiah Culotta, and others who Mrs. Grimes considered close family: Donnie Till, Blair Graydon, Richard Baker, Mike Carpenter, Robin and Reggie McDonald, and Joe Nave.
