Bridget was born in Ireland to an unknown man named Daly and a wife who was born a Sheehan, arriving in The United States in 1911, and married James Joseph Egan Sr. on 14 Feb 1916 in Hartford, Connecticut. She bore her first son James Joseph Jr. and 4 daughters in Connecticut and came to Harrison, Westchester County, New York where she bore her last, a son Thomas Patrick Egan. Her eldest daughter was Mary Elizabeth "Molly" who married Mark J. Fantetti. Her second was Janet C. who married William "Bill" Sullivan. The third was Margaret"Peggy" who wed James"Jim" Smith. The fourth daughter Agnes, was an infant death. Bridget worked at the Parish House of Saint Gregory the Great Catholic Church, near their home on the corner of Broadway and Fremont Streets in Harrison, New York. Later, as a widow, she lived and succumbed to Alzheimer's in the Harvard Valley Psychiatric Center, a State Hospital in Wingdale, New York. Wingdale is a hamlet, now enclosed in the town of Dover, Dutchess County, New York. The Appalachian Trail runs through Wingdale. The campus of her ivy covered marble and brick care facililty is now one of the campuses of Olivet University. She is laid to rest beside her husband of fifty seven years in Saint Mary's Cemetery in Port Chester, Westchester County, New York.
