ELKHART - Lee F. Baker, 75, of 303 Waterfall Drive, died at 4:45 a.m. Thursday in Elkhart General Hospital after an illness. Mr. Baker retired in 1982 as a mouthpiece maker from J.J. Babbit Co. after 36 years. He was born Oct. 4, 1920, in South Bend. On May 23, 1940, in Elkhart, he married Dorothy E. Watters. She died Aug. 24, 1986. Surviving are a son, Patrick of Middlebury; and nine grandchildren. A son, Larry, preceded him in death. Mr. Baker was a member of the Kane Masonic Lodge 183, South Bend. He was an Army veteran of World War II.
There will be no services or visitation. Burial will be later in Oakridge Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to any charity. Walley-Mills-Zimmerman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
