Olin was the first child born to John "Frank" and Rosanna "Rosa" Parker Baker. On 17 April 1910, he married Ruby M. Hitchcock in either Burket, Kosciusko County, Indiana or Goshen, Elkhart County, Indiana [Both marriage locations with the same date appear in FamilySearch]. They were married by the Rev. Noah McCoy.

Olin and Ruby had at least three sons: William (Wendell?) Allen, Max Randolph and Lee F. Baker.

During the 1940 census, Ruby Baker was living in Concord Township, Elkhart County, Indiana with her youngest son, Lee. Her marital status was "divorced." During the same census, Olin was living in Osolo Township, Elkhart, Indiana, with his son, Wendell A. Baker, daughter-in-law, Frances Thelma Baker and granddaughter, Sharon Lee Baker. Olin's martial status was also listed as "divorced."
