Nelson Johnson, 56, of Fourmile passed away Saturday, April 8, 2017, at his residence. Born July 18, 1960 in Harlan County, he was a retired coal miner and believed in the Holiness faith.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Bradley Johnson and Pearlie Saylor Johnson Russell; one brother, Tony Johnson; two sisters, Barbara Lewis and Edna Fannon; and one nephew, Austin Turner.

Nelson is survived by his wife, Wanda Johnson, Fourmile; four children, Jonathan Todd Johnson, Berea; Brandon Nelson Johnson, Loyall; Angela Michelle Johnson, Baxter; and Scottie Ray Johnson, Wallins; three brothers, Timothy Johnson, Elcomb; Michael Johnson, Elcomb; and Dewayne Johnson, Harlan; three sisters, Shelia Howard, Pathfork; Brenda Turner, Cumberland; and Anna Curtis, Tazewell, TN. Also surviving are nine grandchildren.

Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Loyall Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 12, 2017, in the chapel of Loyall Funeral Home with the Reverend Jeff Mills officiating.

Burial will be in the Resthaven Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
