Mary Jane (Adams) Sheipe, age 89, of Mechanicsburg and York Springs, died at home at Messiah Village on Sunday, April 9, 2017. Mary Jane was born on Sunday, March 25, 1928 in Mechanicsburg to the late Irvin Adams and S. Eva (Biddle) Adams. Mary Jane was the widow of Dale Eugene Adams, whom she married in 1945 and who died in 1986, and Lloyd Vernon Sheipe, whom she married in 1989 and who died in 2012. In addition to her parents and husbands, Mary Jane is preceded in death by her granddaughter, Tanya Lougee; her three brothers: William, Elmer, Wilson; and her five sisters: Margaret, Mildred, Sara Mae, Viola, and Eva.

Mary Jane’s survivors include her three daughters: Barbara Lougee and her husband, Bruce, of Mechanicsburg, Katherine Cable and her husband, David, of Mechanicsburg, Janet Rudy and her husband, Thomas, of Dillsburg; her seven grandchildren: Anthony Lougee, Joseph Rudy, Christopher Lougee, Jonathan Rudy, Jessica (Cable) Long, Jared Rudy, and Ashley (Cable) Ackerson; her 14 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

All are welcome to join Mary Jane’s family at her gathering of family and friends on Friday, April 14, 2017, from 11:00 a.m. until time of memorial service at 12:00 p.m. at the Messiah Village Chapel, 100 Mount Allen Drive, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055; with Pastor Ronald R. Slabaugh officiating. Mary Jane’s family invites everyone to join them for a time of food and fellowship following the memorial service. Burial in Mechanicsburg Cemetery will be private and at the convenience of the family.

The family sends their most heartfelt thanks to everyone at Messiah Lifeways at Messiah Village who so lovingly cared for Mary Jane. Contributions in celebration of Mary Jane’s life can be made to Camp YoliJwa, 1550 Doubling Gap Road, Newville, PA 17241.
